Gear processing case
The hardness of hardened steel gears is relatively high, traditional tools are difficult to process, and they are easy to wear quickly. CBN has high hardness, good thermal conductivity, and high oxidation resistance. It does not produce oxidation at 1000 ℃ and does not react with iron-based materials at 1200~1300 ℃.

CBN has high hardness, good thermal conductivity, and high oxidation resistance. It does not produce oxidation at 1000 ℃ and does not react with iron-based materials at 1200~1300 ℃. CBN is currently the ideal tool for intermittent machining of hardened steel gear faces/bores. The CBN coated blades of Wesz show a stronger wear resistance.
Depending on the processed parts, the selected blade model is also different. Commonly used for intermittent machining hardened steel gear end face/inner hole blade types are C- type, T-type, W-type, V-type and so on.
The cutting parameters for intermittent machining of hardened steel gear end face/inner hole should not be too high, especially when the machine tool is not rigid, the tool is easy to vibrate and the blade is easy to break. The specific cutting parameters should be reasonably selected according to the on-site processing conditions, machine tools and fixtures.
